This has made my day. Best possible news. He was magnificent last season, it would be great if he could help us in the run-in. Welcome back Mehdi!!!!

He's played 3 reserve games and looked good by all acounts. Start him with Butt in the middle, Jonty out wide right and Gray out wide left. With 20-30 minutes to go bring on Pennant and revert DJ to the middle to partner Butt.

I believe he's fit and without Carsley, we really have an opportunity to stamp our authority on the game early.

What do we do if Jarosik is fit?

I think it would be doubtful that both will start, but I think that would be a great centre partnership.

Many people say we never replaced Savage but IMO we did in the form of Nafti, he just got injured.

BBN

Absolutely spot on. Good post

I recall Nafti was awesome for us when we held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge about this time last year (also recall a fine goal by Pandiani ....about the only decent one The Water Gun got for us )

Nafti was desperate to sign for us,he did and then suffered the cruelest blow getting a serious knee injury in pre season.......that was the start of the injury crisis that has cursed us eversince

Welcome back 'Nasty'........give the Blue Hub Cap Bandits HELL on Saturday

Hope he plays some part if not all

I'm glad he's fit again as it's another warm and breathing body, but let's not make out he's the best thing since sliced bread. I thought he was okay when he played his hadnful of games, but he's no world beater! I seem to remember some people going overboard about some bloke called Pandiani after a few games on loan last season.
